Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing project schedules, monitoring the progress of the construction workers in the team, and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
- Collaborating with Project Coordinators, subcontractors, clients, and other management personnel when determining timelines
- Coordinating deliveries of material and equipment with suppliers and vendors
- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards
- Scheduling, supervising, and instructing the construction teams as well as subcontractors
- Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol
- Maintaining a daily log of construction site operations and identifying any gaps or areas that need to be addressed
- Implementing techniques and strategies that are both efficient and cost-effective
- Other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in the construction industry, mainly in residential projects
- Supervisory experience managing a team of construction workers and laborers
- Leadership skills in previous job roles
- Detail-oriented and knowledgeable of building codes and construction safety regulations
- Interpret building plans/drawings/blueprints
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules
- Assemble accurate and well-organized estimates and proposals in a timely manner for a stipulated price, design-build, and construction/project management formatted projects
- Provide clearly detailed quantity take-offs
- Organize subcontractors’ quotations, negotiate to ensure quotes meet contract documents, and issue properly documented purchase orders
- Monitor progress, requisition change orders, and identify any potential risks
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and clients
- Ensure site personnel are provided with proper documentation related to project
- Work with and deal with concerns from field personnel
- Provide and maintain unit pricing and database for materials and labour costing
- Formulate cost breakdown from estimates and for project progress
- Meet with potential clients to discuss options for proposed services
- Ensure accurate and timely project closing dates and help supervisors to adjust working schedules to make certain these deadlines are met
- Aid in residential construction sites to ensure compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, and safety codes
- Inform/assist supervisors of the need to order materials as required
- Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects, and equipment problems
- Other related duties that may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- Experience with computers and software applications related to costing, estimating, drawings and scheduling
- Ability to analyze drawings and specifications
- Ability to lead a team by being a good and effective communicator
- Excellence in building rapport and creating a team environment
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Excellence in planning how each process should be done, how resources are to be acquired, and when the project should be completed
- Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them
- Excellence in the budgeting of financial resources
- Ability to understand contractual terms and conditions
